Nicky Harverson

Club Chairman & Coach

British Cycling Level 2 Coach, Level 2+ MTB, Level 2+ Road

Nicky is a keen road and mountain bike cyclist and has a passion for taking on challenging adventures. Cycling John O’Groats to Lands End in 2017, racing at the 24hour Mountain Mayhem event and taking part in local Audax rides. Nicky has also completed her Level 2 MTB leader award and is a qualified NSIQ. She has worked as an instructor and coach since 2015 setting up a women’s cycling club, running rider development sessions and now encouraging more young cyclists to love this sport at CTW.

Richie Morgan

Club Secretary & Coach

British Cycling Level 2 Coach, Level 2+ Road MIAS L2 MTB Leader

Richie is a keen road, and mountain bike enthusiast and has just recently begun coaching cyclocross with CTW. He is a qualified RAF mountain bike instructor and MIAS level 2 mountain bike leader and has completed a number of road sportives including the Prudential Ride London 100 on 3 separate occasions. Last year he completed the endurance challenge, ‘Chase the Sun’. A 209 mile cycle ride from Isle of Sheppy to Burnham-on-Sea, starting at sunrise and finishing at sunset on the longest day of the year. Finally he is hoping to qualify as a Level 2+ cx coach this year.

Peter Harverson

Club Treasurer & Coach

British Cycling Level 1 Coach

Peter enjoys being on a bike either on the open road eating up the tarmac, tackling a challenging single track on his mountain bike or exploring different counties around the UK on a weekend cycle tour. Starting out as a volunteer at the club assisting the coaches Peter has recently qualified as a level one coach in order to share his knowledge and love cycling. When Peter is not on his bike you will often find him pottering in the garden.

Robert Evans

Club Coach

British Cycling Level 2 Coach, Level 2+ CX & Road Coach

Rob is a keen road and cyclocross cyclist. He has completed many challenging road sportives including the E’Tape du Tour in 2015. He enjoys competing in the Western Cyclocross league and helping young riders to get the most out of cyclocross racing.

Cheryl Johnstone

Club Media Officer & Coach

British Cycling Level 1 Coach & Level 2 Ride Leader

Cheryl is a British Cycling trained and licensed Level 1 Coach and Level 2 Ride Leader.  She is a keen road cyclist and has completed many challenging road sportives, coast-to-coast adventures and overseas training camps.  In addition to coaching cycling, Cheryl is passionate about anything related to health and fitness.

Adam Weir

Club Coach

British Cycling Level 1 Coach

Adam is a keen road and Cross-Country cyclist. He has cycled in France on several occasions completed many challenging road sportives, including “The Autumn Epic” in Wales and Titan Triathlon. He enjoys cycling for fun and supporting his children and the other members of CTW.

Izzy Budd

Club Support Officer & Deputy Treasurer

Izzy is mum to 2 CTW cyclists. Although not hold any cycling qualifications, she makes a mean cup of tea and can be found in the tea tent with the tea and donuts. She supports her young cycling family competing in the Western, Wessex and West Midlands Cyclocross leagues and hopes to take them to compete in the National Cyclocross Championships soon. Izzy likes a chat and enjoys portraying a parental voice to the team and is always keen to speak with other parents so come and find her in the tea tent if you have any comments.

Claire Stanford

Club Welfare Officer

Claire is mum to 2 cyclists in the CTW and claims to be just a leisure fair-weather cyclist, but is passionate about supporting this fantastic club. She is a Teaching Assistant at a local special school, through which she is able to keep up to date with the latest safeguarding issues and changes and. it is this wealth of knowledge and experience that Claire brings to the club, ensuring everything is done within government policy and guidelines.

Club Young Leaders

Paddy has completed his British Cycling Young Volunteers course and his bronze, silver and Gold certificates. He is now looking to begin his Level 1 Coaching qualification later this year, while Max will hopefully complete his Young Volunteer qualification also.
